Turn it. Now turn it again.

From ten metres it is black. From two steps you see that there is red in it. And blue. Then you turn it, and it has changed. Sometimes the red comes forward, sometimes the blue, sometimes both stay in the black.

This is not lacquer and not an effect pigment. These are red and blue fibres woven into the carbon, across the whole body. What you see is the material itself, and it shifts with every degree you move your head.

On stage that means: anyone in the hall sees a black instrument. Anyone in the front row keeps seeing something else.

The Cordasonus pickup is built in. A proprietary treated crystal from a German ceramics technology company sits in the bridge and registers pressure changes there and nothing else. Acoustically this changes nothing: unplugged it sounds exactly like a violin without a pickup. Connects through a 6.3 mm jack, no battery, rotates in the bridge in 45 degree steps.
