mf | atelier La Aurora Violin

Violin, single piece, mezzo-forte workshop

This one hides nothing.

A bronze pattern runs across the whole body, not printed and not applied, but within the visible carbon layer itself. It comes out of the black like the first light out of the night, and it does not stay the same: depending on the light the bronze glows, withdraws, appears again.

La Aurora means dawn. The name arrived before the description did.

It exists as a set: violin, viola and cello, all three with the same bronze pattern and the same hand. The cello is sold, the viola is on its way. This violin is here.

Stand on a stage with this and people will ask you about it. This is not a violin for anyone who wants to stay unnoticed.

Inside sits the full mf | solo setup. Anima Nova carbon sound post, Milo Stamm Royal bridge fitted individually, Wittner fine tuning pegs with Swarovski detail and Pirastro Perpetual Edition. Every component chosen for tone, not from a catalogue.

The Cordasonus pickup is built in. A proprietary treated crystal from a German ceramics technology company sits in the bridge and registers pressure changes there and nothing else. Acoustically this changes nothing: unplugged it sounds exactly like a violin without a pickup. Connects through a 6.3 mm jack, no battery, rotates in the bridge in 45 degree steps.

We build instruments like this rarely, and only when every detail is right.
