Concept

The EvoLine is built on the same technological foundation as every mezzo-forte instrument – the same material, the same tools, the same hands. The accessible price comes from a streamlined production process: the time-intensive painting stage is omitted. What remains is an instrument of workshop quality that shows what it is made of.

Sound

The EvoLine Violin delivers a focused, powerful tone with a projection that carries reliably under demanding conditions – on stage, outdoors, or in an ensemble setting.

• Response: Immediate and precise. The instrument reacts directly to every bow movement – characteristic of carbon fiber, but rarely this pronounced at this level.
• Character: Focused and balanced, with an underlying warmth that gives the sound substance and body.
• Projection: Carries effortlessly over distance – a decisive advantage for outdoor performances, weddings, or street music.

Surface & Resilience

The polished raw carbon finish gives the instrument its distinctive character: a modern, dark anthracite appearance with a subtle sheen. No lacquer, no maintenance required.

In daily use, this translates to outstanding durability. Scratches blend into the material structure rather than standing out. Sweat, temperature changes, and humidity have no effect on sound or substance. The EvoLine is fully climate-stable – built for sustained professional use.

Every EvoLine Violin ships professionally set up and ready to perform:

• Strings: Pirastro Violino – warm, rounded tone with reliable response.
• Pegs: Wittner fine-tuning pegs – precise tuning with minimal effort, unaffected by humidity or temperature.
• Neck: Ergonomically refined scale length and profile for a comfortable, fatigue-free playing experience.

mezzo-forte instruments are developed and handcrafted entirely in Germany. Winner of the German Musical Instruments Award 2015.

The EvoLine Violin is available exclusively as a 4-string model in polished carbon finish. Custom colours, 5-string configuration, and the Hybrid option are available in the mezzo-forte DesignLine.
