The heart of the workshop. Fully configurable. Built in Germany.
The mf | core violin is the instrument we build most often and the one with the widest range of use. It combines the tonal and structural properties of carbon fiber with a hand-finished surface. And it is configurable, so the instrument adapts to how you play rather than the other way around.

Tone
Brilliant, carrying and responsive to shaping across every register. The response is light and direct; the instrument gives immediate feedback on every nuance of the bow. In the upper positions of the E string it shows a brilliance that carries in ensemble, and it follows musical ideas from a whispered pianissimo into fortissimo without saturating.
Finish
The body is produced by vacuum infusion. Then comes the part you actually see: sanded, lacquered, sanded again, lacquered again, and finally polished by hand. Two full lacquer cycles, each one inspected individually. Only that effort brings out the shifting carbon pattern, with a depth that changes as the light moves.
Also available with Orchestra Finish: a wood look built to your specification, color tone, flaming, one-piece or two-piece back.
