Violin, single piece, mezzo-forte workshop

Gold carbon with a living colour play. Every angle shows a different instrument.

The basis of this violin is a design carbon woven through with the finest gold threads. What makes it remarkable shows in the light: depending on angle and incidence the surface shifts from warm gold to silver or blue, an effect that unfolds anew under stage lights and in daylight.

No filter, no retouching. What you see in the photographs is the instrument as it sits in your hands. And still every image shows a different facet, exactly like the original.

Sound and technology

The extraordinary appearance costs nothing in tone. The instrument is voiced at mf | solo level, with the full setup, individual voicing by our head instrument maker and a final play test.

The pickup is a built-in Cordasonus. A proprietary treated crystal from a German ceramics technology company sits in the bridge and registers pressure changes there and nothing else. Connects through a 6.3 mm jack, no battery. It rotates in the bridge and can be tuned tonally in 45 degree steps.
