On 1 September 2026 we are changing how our range is named and priced. The instruments themselves stay the same. Here is everything in one place, so you do not have to guess what it means for you.
Why
Our lines have been called EvoLine, DesignLine and PremiumLine. Those names grew over the years and say little about what separates them. "Design" describes no tonal quality, and "Premium" only says that something costs more.
The new names say what is actually at stake: the essential, the heart, the top.

Nothing changes about the instruments. Yours will have a different line name from 1 September, but it is the same instrument, from the same production, with the same specification.
New in the range
There is one genuine addition: the mf | solo viola, in 15 and 16.5 inch. The solo line is now available for violin, viola and cello.
Prices
We are adjusting prices on 1 September. The reason is rising material and production costs that we have not passed on for years.
For violin, viola and cello the adjustment is moderate. For the double bass it is substantial: more than 130 working hours go into every instrument, and the previous price sat below what production actually costs.
If you are considering a purchase anyway, ordering before 1 September is worth it.
What else is new
We have consolidated our upgrades. The Anima Nova carbon sound post and the Milo Stamm master bridge are now one product each, where you simply select your instrument.
There is also a new comparison page showing the three lines side by side, and our brochure is available to download in ten languages.
